A stand-out motorcycling experience was the Royal Enfield Himalayan launch, which is by no means the most powerful machine, but was exceptionally easy to ride and showed some great off-road abilities from my limited experience.
Making for an ideal low-buy in adventure-commuter, the Himalayan has character and grit. In a world increasingly dominated by technological marvels this is a machine – like all Royal Enfield’s – which packs in the authenticity and takes you back to an earlier time of motorcycling.
It’s not a bike that will appeal to everyone, but I can see it being a super rewarding ride for the right person.
