Kawasaki’s Z1000 has been around for a while, and has always been a standout for futuristic, polarising styling, which may not have been for everyone, but stood out none-the-less. As Kawasaki’s beefy ‘super-naked’, the Z1000 had significantly more presence than the Z800, with more proportionate design, in my opinion at least.
Add 140hp from the super smooth in-line four-cylinder, Showa SFF-BP (Separate Function Fork – Big Piston) forks, petal rotors and monobloc four-piston calipers and much more, and you’ve got an impressive package, even by today’s standards.
