I take a test ride on the Husqvarna Norden 901 from a primarily road rider perspective, with a loop down some unsealed roads to see how the bike performs is slightly more squirrelly conditions, that many riders are likely to encounter getting a little more adventurous.
Overall the Norden 901 massively impressed, offering exceptional road performance that doesn’t feel like a big heavy adventure machine, ensuring plenty of thrills in all conditions, while carrying the weight so well that the bike feels like a much lighter, smaller machine in the rougher conditions.
An easy going engine with some bike, powerful but controllable brakes, an extensive electronics package and great comfort all combine into a killer overall machine, that while on the more premium end of things is, capable in my opinion, of replacing two or three other machines in the garage with minimal trade-offs.
